Lolcats should redirect to caturday and not the other way round. Spend time in 4chan and you'll see that the threads will begin with 'It's Caturday' or 'Caturday Thread' and the images will follow (never mentioned as lolcats) DuO 04:35, 13 June 2007 (UTC) But it only really became known to those outside of 4chan since ~2005, so that would explain the lack of sources (because chans usually adhear to Rules1+2). You find most people who mention lolcats and Caturday together (eg as if they are seperating things) don't really know about the origins (and hence, the true name).
Yes, it isn't called 'lolcats' - it is Caturday. Perhaps lolcat should redirect to Caturday instead? Coen Leermakers 22:33, 12 June 2007 (UTC) If you're gonna write an article at least get the name right!- Irongrip 18:27, 12 June 2007 (UTC) Agreed, as far as I can tell, Caturday came from 4chan, and many other internet sites took over the concept, and it ended up being called 'lolcat(s)'.
Also you need to stop calling it 'lolcat'. Until citations to reliable sources are presented, this matter is closed. No further edits should be made to this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. The following discussion is preserved as an archive.
